Sabrina turned 3 and celebrated in her usual style with parties in Wisconsin and Boulder, and set a new standard this year by having Mr. Scott, the Music Man come to her party! He was a major hit, as you can see in the photos. Sabrina and all of her friends sang and danced like crazy, especially Bailey and Celia who were front and center the whole time with the birthday girl. True to Sabrina's wishes, I made a strawberry birthday cake, complete with pink frosting, vanilla cake and strawberries inside (it even had Crisco in it) and I promptly decided that buying a cake next year sounds just fine to me. We ordered empanadas from our friends' Karly and Christian's new restaurant and they were wonderful. The Loft was an indoor playplace at the 29th St. Mall in Boulder that closed the day we had Sabrina's party, so we took advantage of their very last day in business and we ran the place into the ground! All the kids had a blast playing on the bouncy castle, running through the maze tunnel, and climbing around the playhouses and climbing walls. It was all but impossible to get photos of them, but Brent did a fantastic job capturing the kids' faces during the music performance. Sabrina was a sweet hostess and had a great time with her friends. Thanks everybody!
And now, like every year just after Sabrina's birthday, we're home and exhausted after all these activities. Time for a new year - bring on 2013!
