At the advice of a friend, we decided to take Sabrina out for a walk today to teach her the concept of being AWAKE during the day, in the hopes that she would then SLEEP all night. The idea is to expose her to fresh air and sunlight to get her internal clock on schedule. Well, that would be easier if the temperature was higher than 15 degrees as it was today! But we powered through the cold, bundled up the little girl and headed out for our walk. It was so cold though that Sabrina was bundled in several layers, then wrapped up into my chest and then covered with my jacket (as you can see) so I don't think she got a single breath of fresh air the entire time. But maybe she knew we were outside and it was daytime? hmmm...we'll see how tonight goes with the sleeping and we'll report back later!

HAH! It took Nadia about of week of aggresssively doing the Day and Night thing. Open the curtains and turn on lights as soon as its daytime and do the opposite at night along with appropriate music, tones of voice, etc.
And dont fret- shes only a week old. The sleep thing goes up and down and all over for a few months! Nadia slept through the night several times at a few weeks and then didnt do it again until 6 months. Fun times.
Crap. We were all excited that Sabrina slept like a champ last night.
I'm afraid that too much in utero exposure to Twilight has given us a vampire baby.
they are ALL vampire babies!
what, you think a one week old baby's going to sleep thru the night? HAH!
oh and by the way, Congratulations! She's lovely!
