Sushi time!

Sabrina went to an all-you-can-eat sushi birthday party last week for Cara and Alex's birthdays. She had a wonderful Asian-esque outfit to wear thanks to Jess Thomsen. Thanks JET! Since her mommy doesn't really do the fish sushi thing, she will have to be content with veggie sushi until she's eating on her own. Sorry little lady! But she loved sushi night anyway ...so much so that she also went to Hapa for sushi the following day for lunch with Ali Buckman. And that was after a weekend sushi lunch with cousin Tom! What a lucky and well- cultured little woman she is turning out to be.

She is 8 weeks old now, smiling every time she wakes up (sometimes when we are trying very hard for her to go to sleep, like last night when she was smiling and laughing until 2:30 in the morning) and starting to think about mimic-ing us when we make expressions at her.
She concentrates very hard if we stick out our tongues at her or make kissing sounds.

She loved spending last weekend with Aunt Nay and Uncle Rob. Renee almost had Sabrina making kissy faces back at her by the end of the weekend.

She spent Saturday with Nana so that I could go skiing which was fantastic. Bright blue skies, fresh powder, and good ski buddies (Brent, Dad/Poppy, Rob, Renee, Patrick and Penny). It felt wonderful to get out and ski again, even if my body was very sore and achy by the end of the day!

We spent this morning with Nana sorting through baby clothes because Sabrina is starting to grow out of her newborn and 0-3 mo. clothes. What a big girl!

Now we are off to meet Cara and Casey for a walk at the lakes in Gunbarrel with the dogs.
