She is doing wonderfully developmentally too and is strong and very mobile for her age. The doctor told us our main job now is BABY PROOFING! She actually recommended getting a bit tipsy this weekend, crawling around our house on our hands and knees and seeing what we can get into! If we can get into it after having "a few" then Sabrina will definitely be able to get into it. So I guess that's our mission for the weekend. Sounds like fun, actually.
Sabrina still has a little bit of a funny cough/phelgm thing going on, but it's been going on for so long (almost 2 months) now that the doctor thinks it's definitely not bacterial or viral, but perhaps an issue with the functionality of her epiglottis. If this doesn't close correctly, then she could have a bit of "gunk" that gets stuck in her throat and she's unable to clear it. We are going to visit a speech therapist to see if that's what is going on. She certainly never acts sick, so I'm relieved that it could possibly be something other than "another cold." Thankfully she really hasn't gotten sick too much at daycare yet (thank you warm weather!) but we want to ditch this cough once and for all. So if a throat test does the trick, we're all for it.
Sabrina crawls more and more every day and last night Robert/Dad/Poppy coined the phrase "kickstanding" which is exactly what Sabrina does. she crawls, but with one leg out to the side like a kickstand. It's hysterical! we'll try to post a video soon.
Uncle Rob took a series of adorable shots of Sabrina this weekend in Breckenridge so I added those to the Picasa album that is linked in our previous post. You can go check that out, but here are a few teasers. Looks like a professional photo shoot, doesn't it? She's such a looker.
We are still having a great time with Rob, Renee, Jacob and Josh who are at our house until Friday. Unfortunately Brent and I have to keep working each day, but they are cruising around Denver (yesterday), Boulder (today) and Estes Park (tomorrow) keeping themselves very busy (despite the cold, rainy day today!) We sent Rob and Renee out on a date tonight and we kept the boys here with us and the boys, Sabrina and I baked banana bread. It was delicious! And right now, I'm listening to the boys crack up as they are "getting ready for bed" downstairs with Rob. Cuteness!
